Azerbaijan produced 39.9 tonnes of table salt in the first half of 2025, marking a 4.1% year-on-year decline according to the State Statistical Committee. As of July 1, salt inventories stood at 1.9 tonnes, down 13.6% from last year.
While total food production in the country rose by 12%, the salt sector saw continued contraction, signaling a shift toward increased reliance on imports or a temporary reduction in domestic output.
