Indian Railways has dispatched its first dedicated industrial salt rake from Sanosara to Dahej, carrying over 3,851 tonnes. The 673 km journey generated ₹31.69 lakh in freight revenue for the railway.
This new logistics initiative is expected to significantly boost Gujarat’s salt industry by enhancing regional trade connectivity and strengthening the national industrial supply chain.
