Producers in Colima’s Cuyutlán saltworks have begun the 2026 harvest early, targeting a total output of over 55,000 tonnes. Advanced maintenance of evaporation ponds has allowed for a rapid start, with new product already moving into storage facilities.
Colima remains a key supplier for both domestic and export markets. While higher output supports delivery reliability, the final harvest volume will depend on favorable evaporation conditions and the efficiency of local port and trucking logistics.
