Qatar has initiated a prequalification process for contractors ahead of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) stage for a new salt production facility. This moves the project into a defined procurement track where bidder capabilities and local-content requirements will be strictly screened.
The new domestic capacity is expected to strengthen regional supply reliability. Industrial buyers in the Middle East are closely monitoring the project, as its successful completion could provide a more stable and predictable source of high-purity salt for the region’s chemical sectors.
