China: World’s First 10,000-Ton Grade Lithium Demo Line Installed

Sinochem has installed what is described as the world’s first “10,000-ton grade” lithium extraction demonstration line. This marks a shift from lab-scale development to industrial-scale brine-based separation, targeting efficiency and stable commercial operations.

The demo line sets new benchmarks for brine pretreatment, separation chemistry, and the monetization of co-products like magnesium. This scale-up is pushing salt producers toward higher-purity inputs and tighter quality assurance protocols across the entire battery supply chain.
