From shifting diets to seawater innovation, the 2025 EUsalt Annual Conference brought together key players in the salt industry between 10–13 June in Bucharest, Romania. Hosted by Salrom, this year’s gathering focused on critical challenges and transitions facing the salt sector in Europe and globally.
The event kicked off with İwo days of Committees’ and Working Groups’ meetings, where member representatives discussed health & safety, sea salt, de-icing, food & feed, water treatment, and sustainability. These sessions reflected EUsalt’s ongoing efforts to align industry priorities with regulatory and environmental developments.
Top themes on the agenda included the growing importance of iodine intake, salt formations and tectonics in Romania, global salt market insights, and strategic thinking on sustainability as a business reinvention driver.
As EUsalt transitions leadership and sets its sights on regulatory and technological progress, the conference reaffirmed the industry’s shared commitment to safety, sustainability, and strategic alignment.
