Botswana’s Zutshwa Salt Project has entered a new expansion phase aimed at increasing production capacity through additional crystallization ponds and supporting infrastructure. Representatives confirmed that these improvements are designed to enhance overall production efficiency.
The high-purity salt produced at Zutshwa is intended to serve both domestic demand and regional export markets. This expansion is expected to generate significant local employment and strengthen Botswana’s position in the Southern African salt industry.
