Kazakhstan mined 728,600 tons of salt in the first half of 2025, a 6.6% year-on-year increase. The Kyzylorda region contributed over 60% of the total output, with nearly all exports (305,400 tons) directed to the Russian market.
Despite the stable supply, retail prices in Kazakhstan jumped to an average of 82 tenge/kg in July. Local producers continue to meet almost all domestic demand, while exploring marginal export opportunities in Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, and China.
