China Becomes Key Market for Pakistani Salt in 2025

Pakistan’s salt exports to China surged 33% in the first half of 2025, reaching $3.93 million. The growth is driven primarily by low-priced industrial salt and rising Chinese demand for Pakistani pink salt.

This increase reflects deeper trade ties under the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA). Both countries are working to streamline logistics to further expand the volume of mineral exports in the coming years.
