Argentina: POSCO Sets 2026 Timeline for Sal de Oro

POSCO’s Sal de Oro project at Salar del Hombre Muerto is accelerating, with a target completion date set for 2026. Progress is reported across both lithium hydroxide workstreams and the construction of a large-scale lithium carbonate plant.

The project is also linked to a significant increase in local procurement and employment in Argentina. As the construction schedule tightens, stakeholders are increasing their focus on water stewardship and social impact assessments, which are critical for the long-term viability of brine-based operations.
