Zimbabwe Halts Lithium Concentrate Exports

Zimbabwe has announced an immediate suspension of lithium concentrate exports to prevent illegal leakages and encourage domestic value addition. This move has revived global supply-security concerns and is expected to affect near-term availability for downstream processors.

Exporters with established in-country processing capacity may still apply for permits under stricter conditions. This policy shift indicates a strong push for domestic beneficiation, potentially reshaping investment priorities across the global lithium and mineral supply chain.
