PROSALT · THOUGHT THROUGH
Purity, by design.
A closer look at PROSALT's published purity data, modular plant concept and integrated process.

The purity standard
PROSALT’s published Purefection presentation describes a mechanical washing approach designed to reduce impurities without chemical additives. Its example data compares raw salt input with processed output. Raw material composition, product fraction and operating conditions must be considered when setting a project target.
| Parameter | Raw input / reference | Processed output |
|---|---|---|
| Magnesium (Mg) | 338 ppm | 169 ppm |
| Calcium (Ca) | 2435 ppm | 359 ppm |
| NaCl purity | 98.7% | 99.97% |
These are published example values, not a performance guarantee for every feedstock. Request a project-specific analysis and agreed product specification.
Moisture and the process boundary
Moisture affects clumping, handling and packaging. The published Purefection example states a final moisture range of 2.5–3.0% and describes fluid bed drying. This example must not be treated as the specification of every drying line. The required final moisture and the measurement point are defined for the product and project.
A compact, connected layout
The published layout example measures 25 × 20 metres and connects washing, drying, sieving, storage and packaging. The concept is modular and expandable, with 316L stainless steel construction specified in that presentation. Actual space, access and equipment requirements are established during engineering.
From intake to packaging
- Raw intake: hopper feeding and pre-screening.
- Washing: mechanical friction washing; the published concept describes feeding without pre-crushing.
- Centrifuge: mechanical moisture separation.
- Drying: fluid bed technology, with moisture set for the product.
- Packaging: retail or industrial bagging.
Experience across markets
Founded in 1984, Yiğitbaşı brought its experience to the PROSALT brand in 2024. The Purefection presentation published in 2026 cites over 90 turnkey plants, 25+ countries and 60 million tonnes processed per year. These figures describe the scope reported in that presentation; they are not an individual machine’s capacity.
Engineering the complete system
The concept combines mechanical cleaning without added chemicals, corrosion-resistant 316L steel and turnkey engineering from raw material analysis to packaged salt. Contact our team to establish the material, process and equipment scope for your project.
