Myanmar’s Salt Output Declines Due to Adverse Weather

Salt production in Myanmar’s Mon State has dropped significantly this year due to prolonged rainfall and unstable weather. Local producers reported shorter drying windows and increased production costs. As a result, both volume and quality of harvested salt have declined, with some areas reporting near-total losses in early harvests.
