Mutlucan Starts Production at $30M Rock Salt Refinery in Kirsehir

Mutlucan Tuz Corporation has started production at one of Türkiye’s largest and most advanced rock salt refineries in Kirsehir. The $30 million fully automated facility has an annual capacity of 180,000 tons, producing refined table, industrial, tablet, and medical-grade salts.

Strategically positioned in central Türkiye, the plant processes high-purity rock salt from the nearby Palangic deposit, achieving 99.96% purity. Muzaffer Mutlu, Chairman of the Board, stated that this national investment supports exports and local jobs while turning Kirsehir’s salt into a global brand.
