U.S. Accepts Brazil’s WTO Tariff Dispute, Citing National Security

Washington has agreed to Brazil’s WTO consultation request over the new 50% tariffs but defended the measures as national security decisions. The tariffs, imposed by the U.S. earlier this month, were framed as retaliation against Brazil’s handling of recent political trials.
