Salinen Austria AG will invest €200 million to upgrade its production in Ebensee and add new brine boreholes in Altaussee, Hallstatt, and Bad Ischl. The strategic plan shifts focus toward higher-value products such as pharmaceutical-grade salt and specialty food salts.
The investment aims to double pharmaceutical output and boost tablet production by 25%. Currently, nearly 60% of the company's output is exported, serving high-purity markets in South America and Asia.
