How it works

Separates salt crystals by size and transfers classified fractions to the storage silos. Its arrangement supports consistent sizing and helps prevent blockages and spills.

Its place in the process

The sieve sorts processed salt into the grain fractions required by each product. Separate discharge routes can feed storage or packaging, while oversized material may be assessed for a return path to size reduction.

Engineering inputs

Specify the right configuration

Equipment selection starts with your material, the required product and the available site conditions. Share the operating range and layout with PROSALT so the interfaces, dimensions and final specification can be defined for your project.

  • Required grain fractions and screen apertures

  • Feed moisture, throughput and tendency to blind screens

  • Number of outlets and connections to product silos

Final materials, dimensions, drive power and operating targets are defined in the project specification. Product images illustrate the equipment family.

Equipment questions

Can the sieve produce several salt grades?

Screen arrangement and outlet routing can be evaluated for several fractions. The required cut sizes and actual feed distribution determine the configuration and achievable product split.

Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?

A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
