Fluid Bed Salt Dryer

PROSALT · Salt Drying Plant

How it works

Engineered air channels and motors distribute the drying air so that salt crystals dry evenly. The system is configured for the required moisture removal and product quality.

Its place in the process

The fluid bed is the central drying stage, receiving mechanically dewatered salt and distributing process air through the product. The heater, fans, cooling section and fines recovery circuit form one coordinated drying system.

Specify the right configuration

Equipment selection starts with your material, the required product and the available site conditions. Share the operating range and layout with PROSALT so the interfaces, dimensions and final specification can be defined for your project.

  • Salt throughput, inlet moisture and required final moisture

  • Particle distribution and target discharge temperature

  • Available heat, air conditions and fines recovery needs

Final materials, dimensions, drive power and operating targets are defined in the project specification. Product images illustrate the equipment family.

Equipment questions

What information is needed to size a fluid bed salt dryer?

Provide the feed rate, moisture range, grain distribution and finished-product target. Utility conditions and annual operating hours allow the drying system to be assessed as a complete process.

Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?

A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
