SALT PROCESSING EQUIPMENT
Twin Roll Crusher
Special crushing blades and two-stage sizing reduce salt to the required particle size.
Discuss this equipment
PROSALT · Salt Drying Plant
How it works
Special crushing blades and two-stage sizing reduce salt to the required particle size. The design described in the source focuses on capacity and uniform sizing for a consistent final product.
Its place in the process
The crusher adjusts salt grain size within the drying and preparation line. Its position and operating setting should be coordinated with the feed condition and downstream sieve fractions to limit unnecessary recirculation of oversized material.

Equipment questions
Does crushing alone set the finished grain size?
Crushing reduces particle size, while sieving separates the resulting fractions. Both operations should be selected together against the intended product size distribution.
Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?
A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
