PROSALT · Salt Drying Plant

How it works

Air circulation separates fine particles and salt dust before the air is exhausted. Recovering these particles helps improve product recovery.

Its place in the process

The powder cyclone recovers entrained salt particles from the drying air stream. Its duty connects dryer exhaust, an air lock and the selected fines handling route; it should be assessed alongside any additional emission-control equipment.

Specify the right configuration

Equipment selection starts with your material, the required product and the available site conditions. Share the operating range and layout with PROSALT so the interfaces, dimensions and final specification can be defined for your project.

  • Airflow, temperature and entrained particle sizes

  • Required collection duty and available pressure drop

  • Discharge sealing and destination of recovered fines

Final materials, dimensions, drive power and operating targets are defined in the project specification. Product images illustrate the equipment family.

Equipment questions

Does a cyclone alone guarantee an emissions limit?

No. The dust distribution, air conditions and applicable site requirements determine the collection system. Additional filtration may need to be considered for the project.

Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?

A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
