SALT PROCESSING EQUIPMENT

Salt Cooling Fan

Gradually brings salt leaving the dryer towards ambient temperature.

Salt Cooling Fan

PROSALT · Salt Drying Plant

How it works

Gradually brings salt leaving the dryer towards ambient temperature. Even air circulation helps limit cracking and breakage while preparing the product for handling.

Its place in the process

Cooling air helps bring dried salt toward the temperature required for handling, storage and packaging. Cooling duty depends on the product temperature, airflow and ambient conditions, and must be coordinated with the dryer discharge.

Engineering inputs

Specify the right configuration

Equipment selection starts with your material, the required product and the available site conditions. Share the operating range and layout with PROSALT so the interfaces, dimensions and final specification can be defined for your project.

  • Incoming and target salt temperature

  • Ambient air temperature and humidity

  • Cooling airflow, pressure loss and downstream handling

Final materials, dimensions, drive power and operating targets are defined in the project specification. Product images illustrate the equipment family.

Equipment questions

Why cool salt before packaging?

Packaging and storage have temperature requirements of their own. The cooling stage is evaluated against these requirements and the risk of moisture-related handling problems.

Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?

A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
