PROSALT · Salt Washing Plant

How it works

Separates larger salt particles from the salt solution in the final part of the washing system, improving the consistency of the recovered product.

Its place in the process

This washing-line cyclone recovers salt crystals from the liquid stream before mechanical dewatering. Its duty is distinct from the powder cyclone in a drying air circuit; the connected flows and recovered grain sizes must be defined accordingly.

Engineering inputs

Specify the right configuration

Equipment selection starts with your material, the required product and the available site conditions. Share the operating range and layout with PROSALT so the interfaces, dimensions and final specification can be defined for your project.

  • Crystal size distribution and slurry flow

  • Required separation split and recovery route

  • Connections to the dewatering sieve and liquid return

Final materials, dimensions, drive power and operating targets are defined in the project specification. Product images illustrate the equipment family.

Equipment questions

Where does the recovered salt go next?

The recovered stream is directed to the selected dewatering equipment. The exact connection depends on the washing line arrangement and the moisture required before drying.

Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?

A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
