How it works
Special baskets and high-speed rotation separate moisture evenly. The source describes a 2–2.4% moisture example before drying; the achievable value depends on feedstock and operating conditions. Mechanical dewatering helps reduce clumping and prepare a consistent feed for the dryer.
Its place in the process
Centrifugal dewatering connects washing with drying. Reducing the liquid carried into the dryer changes its evaporation duty, so the centrifuge should be evaluated together with crystal handling, brine return and the dryer feed conditions.

Equipment questions
Is the discharge moisture guaranteed for every raw salt?
No universal moisture value applies to all feedstocks. Crystal distribution, surface liquid and operating conditions must be assessed before project acceptance criteria are specified.
Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?
A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
