SALT PROCESSING EQUIPMENT
Raw Salt Bunker
PROSALT Silo allows the raw salt to be sieved and fed continuously to the salt washing system.
Discuss this equipment
PROSALT · Salt Washing Plant
How it works
Screens and continuously feeds raw salt. A vibration mechanism helps discharge the bunker without clogging; a mechanical rotator adjusts the flow to keep the washing line running.
Its place in the process
The bunker buffers incoming raw salt before the washing line. Coordinate the discharge with the sorting conveyor and downstream washing equipment so that variations in loading do not become sudden process surges.

Specify the right configuration
Equipment selection starts with your material, the required product and the available site conditions. Share the operating range and layout with PROSALT so the interfaces, dimensions and final specification can be defined for your project.
Incoming grain size and oversize material
Bulk density, moisture and bridging tendency
Loading method, buffer volume and discharge rate
Final materials, dimensions, drive power and operating targets are defined in the project specification. Product images illustrate the equipment family.
PROSALT Silo allows the raw salt to be sieved and fed continuously to the salt washing system. It offers many important advantages in terms of uninterrupted and efficient progress of the production process:
- Special Design Vibration Mechanism: The storage discharges smoothly and eliminates the risk of clogging.
- Mechanical Rotator: Allows for precise adjustment of the flow rate, enabling the washing process to occur at an optimal level.
- Non-stop Production: Continuous feeding eliminates interruptions in the salt processing line. This increases production capacity and saves time.

Equipment questions
Can one bunker feed an existing washing line?
The outlet position, available headroom and downstream feed demand need to be checked together. The bunker and its discharge mechanism are selected around the existing line layout.
Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?
A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
