How it works

A special belt and industrial magnet help remove plastic, iron particles and other foreign material from raw salt before further processing.

Its place in the process

Position sorting ahead of wet processing, where foreign material is easier to identify and remove. The feed should be distributed across the belt so inspection and magnetic separation can work on an accessible material layer.

Specify the right configuration

Equipment selection starts with your material, the required product and the available site conditions. Share the operating range and layout with PROSALT so the interfaces, dimensions and final specification can be defined for your project.

  • Foreign material types and incoming contamination

  • Feed depth, belt width and inspection access

  • Magnet arrangement and connection to washing

Final materials, dimensions, drive power and operating targets are defined in the project specification. Product images illustrate the equipment family.

Equipment questions

Does the sorting belt remove every contaminant?

No. Visible foreign material and ferrous particles are addressed at this stage. Dissolved impurities and finer contaminants require assessment of the complete washing and separation process.

Can this equipment be integrated into an existing salt plant?

A retrofit is assessed from the existing process flow, material analysis, available dimensions and utility connections. The upstream and downstream equipment must be reviewed together before the scope is agreed.
